Internationally acclaimed model, designer and photographer, Helena Christensen has teamed up with leading holiday brand Thomson to create and design an exclusive range of boyfriend shirts to celebrate the luxury long-haul Sensatori resorts.
Inspired by the exotic Sensatori destinations, and available in a range of prints and colours influenced by native Caribbean flowers, Helena and design partner Camilla Staerk have invested their fashion experience and design knowledge to create the perfect summer item for off duty style and vacation versatility.
The luxury beachwear will be gifted to guests at Sensatori Resorts in Mexico and Jamaica for a limited time this summer and also available to purchase online.
Speaking about the collaboration, Helena said: “As someone who has been fortunate to travel the world with my work, this project felt like a natural fit. Holidays are about relaxation and the right pieces can transform your experience and style. The shirts Camilla and I have designed transition easily from the beach to the bar; they’re designed to feel chic in any environment. I’m excited about this collaboration and to see our shirts enjoyed throughout the summer.’”
The boyfriend shirt will be available in different prints, inspired by the native flowers from the 5* longhaul Sensatori destinations; the Dhalia flower from Mexico and the national flower from Jamaica – the Tree of Life. Each of the floral prints will be available in three beautiful colourways, from chic pastel shades, to vibrant tones and classic black and white.
Speaking about the partnership Charlotte Brenner, Marketing Manager for Thomson in Northern Ireland said: “As travellers look for more exotic holiday destinations, this year is all about celebrating our luxury long-haul Sensatori resorts. We are really pleased to be working with Helena Christensen to bring to life our ‘holidays designed for you proposition’ and showcase our 5* Sensatori resorts, following successful collaborations with others such as Phillip Treacy, Jonathan Saunders and Jade Jagger. We continually strive to make our holiday experiences special and this is one of many little touches we offer to help guests discover their smile.”
Sensatori Resort Mexico is set in a perfect location on the exclusive Riviera Maya. The beachfront resort offers up a taste of the finer things in life, boasting six a-la-carte restaurants, a swim-up bar and a stunning roof garden lounge. Meanwhile, set on Jamaica’s famous Seven Mile Beach, Sensatori Resort Jamaica boasts unparalleled panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea and a wide choice of rooms including family rooms and suites with private pools.
This is the fourth year Thomson has partnered with a designer to bring to life its ‘holidays designed for you’ proposition. In 2013 the Butterfly Bar at the Sensatori Resort Turkey was designed by renowned milliner Philip Treacy accompanied by a range of women’s and children’s sunhats. In 2013 top fashion designer Jonathan Saunders styled the pool at the Sensatori Resort Jamaica and created a collection of sarongs and beach bags. Last year saw British fashion, jewellery and interiors designer, Jade Jagger create a limited edition range of kaftans, to celebrate the launch of Sensatori Resort Ibiza and designed a bespoke wellbeing space at the resort. This year, in addition to the boyfriend shirts Helena will create a signature spa treatment for the luxurious spa experience at each Sensatori resort for guests to indulge in.
