After the Stereophonics announced seven huge shows for summer 2016, including a very special show Kilmainham and a headline act at Belfast’s Belsonic festival, the band’s anthemic new single ‘White Lies’ is set for release on 8th April.
Written by Kelly Jones and produced by Kelly and Jim Lowe, ‘White Lies’ is taken from the band’s UK number one album ‘Keep The Village Alive’. The single is one of the album’s many highlights and showcases the band’s ability to create a sound that is at once both powerfully atmospheric and endearingly intimate.
The accompanying video for White Lies was shot over the course of the band’s sold out UK arena tour this past December. Kelly Jones (vocals/guitar), Richard Jones (bass), Adam Zindani (guitar) and Jamie Morrison (drums) play seven huge shows this summer.
With career sales of over 10 million albums, Stereophonics’ latest, acclaimed UK number 1 album ‘Keep The Village Alive’ is home to recent hit singles ‘C’est La Vie’, ‘I Wanna Get Lost With You’ and ‘Song for the Summer’ and is already certified gold. The album hit the #2 spot in the Irish Independent album charts on its release here.
Stereophonics recently announced that they have collaborated with Brains brewery to create their very own pale ale called Phonics. The beer will be available in pubs across the country from March.
Stereophonics play on June 29th at Belsonic and on June 30th at Royal Hospital Kilmainham with special guests The Vaccines. Tickets for the Kilmainham event are on sale now from ticketmaster.ie and outlets nationwide.
